What Work is Taking Place?

As part of continued support for the future Kennedy Station portal construction, crews will be delivering and pouring cement along Eglinton Avenue East between Ionview Road and Kennedy Road on Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 4:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. To facilitate this delivery, concrete trucks will be arriving to the site from the east and west Eglinton Avenue East.

Hours of Work

  • Work is expected to occur on Thursday, February 28th from 4:00 am until 4:00 pm.  
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

  • Heavy truck entering and exiting the work zone (approximately every three to four (3-4) minutes).
  • Trucks will be entering and leaving site at two (2) locations:
    • Eglinton Avenue westbound to Ionview Road and will park in the center of Eglinton for direction to staging. This staging is located at west of Ionview Road;
    • Eglinton Avenue eastbound and will use the right lane and enter through jersey barrier gap in front of 2361 Eglinton Avenue East to stage.
  • Flagmen will be available to direct traffic and pedestrian.
  • In addition to construction activity, residents and businesses can expect to see additional lighting, equipment and material storage within designated work zones.
  •  As always, please take care when travelling near work.

Pedestrian Impacts

  • All open sidewalks and crosswalks will be maintained during this work.
