What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Monday February 24, 2020, survey work will take place at Allen Road and Eglinton Avenue West. This work requires rolling lane closures. Allen Road North will be reduced to one lane only from Eglinton Avenue West to the Aldburn Road Bridge, while this work takes place. Access to Allen Road North will be maintained at all times.
Work will begin as early as Monday February 24, 2020 and take approximately three (3) nights to complete. To mitigate disruption to the travelling public, work will take place overnight between 11:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. In the case of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, this work will be rescheduled.
Hours of Work
- As early as Monday February 24, 2020 for approximately three (3) nights
- Between 11:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.
- This work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances
Work Area Map
- Expect delays when travelling through the intersection
- Temporary traffic barriers will be erected along Allen Road North to delineate vehicles from the work zone
- Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present while this work takes place
Pedestrian Changes
- All pedestrian routes will remain the same.
Traffic Changes
- Allen Road North will be reduced to one lane only from Eglinton Avenue West to the Aldburn Road Bridge
- Access to Allen Road North will be maintained at all times
Travelling Smart during Construction
Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
