June 16 – June 17, 2021

Crews will be installing OCS (Overhead Catenary System) cables along Eglinton Avenue East between the CP Rail Bridge and the DVP. Overhead catenary is the system installed overtop of the rails of a light rail system, to provide operational power to the LRVs (Light Rail Vehicles). Installation will take place on from Wednesday June 16 – Friday June 18, 2021, between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. Crews will operate above the track. No significant traffic impacts are expected, while this work takes place.

What to Expect

Cables will be installed overhead using a high rail vehicle. Minimal noise is expected while this work takes place. Site lighting will be required.



  • Wednesday June 16 – Friday June 18, 2021
  • Work is expected to take place between 4:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.
  • This work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.



  • No changes to the current traffic configurations or pedestrian routes are expected, as a result of this work.
  • Short-term lane interruptions may be required as vehicles enter and exit the work zones.
  • Traffic control personnel will be present, while this work takes place.
