What Work is Taking Place?

Crews will be installing OCS (Overhead Catenary System) cables along Eglinton Avenue East between Brentcliffe and Kennedy Roads. Overhead catenary is the system installed overtop of the rails of a light rail system, to provide operational power to the LRVs (Light Rail Vehicles). Installation will take place from April 19-24, 2021 between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. Crews will operate above the track. No traffic impacts are expected, while this work takes place.  


What to Expect

Cables will be installed overhead using a high rail vehicle. Minimal noise is expected while this work takes place. Site lighting will be required.  

HOURS OF WORK

  • Monday, April 19 – Saturday, April 24, 2021
  • Work is expected to take place between 4:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.
  • This work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.

TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  • No changes to the current traffic configurations or pedestrian routes are expected, as a result of this work.
