What Work is Taking Place?
In support of the construction of the future Kennedy Station, crews will be conducting sanitary pipe installation activities in the center of Eglinton Avenue East, between Ionview Road and Kennedy Road. This work is expected to begin as early as March 6, 2019 and lasting for approximately one (1) week.
In an effort to minimise disruption and to protect the safety of the local community and commuters, work will be performed overnight.

Hours of Work
- Date: as early as March 6, 2019 for approximately one (1) week.
- Time: Between 9:00 pm and approximately 7:00 am
- Note: Unexpected circumstances (weather, equipment failure, etc.) may also change the above interruption plans or prolong the interruption. If this occurs, we will endeavour to provide reasonable notice.
What to Expect
- Installation of a six (6) feet discharge pipe in the center of Eglinton Avenue East — east of Ionview Road.
- Nearby residents and businesses can expect noise in the area caused by trucks and other construction equipment, as well as dust from drilling activity and debris removal.
- Work will be completed in stages during this work.
- Driveway access maybe restricted during this work.
- There will be noise and vibration associated with these activities.
Traffic and Pedestrian Impacts
- Lane reductions and turn restrictions will be required to safely perform this work.
- Paid-Duty Police Officers will be present to direct traffic during this work.
- A minimum of one (1) lane of traffic will be maintained at all times.
- All open sidewalks and crosswalks will be maintained during this work. Please watch for signs directing pedestrians to alternate routes.
- As always, please take care when travelling near work sites.
TTC Impacts
- Relocations and re-routing of bus stops is done in consultation with TTC to ensure construction can continue safely while minimizing the impact on the community and customers.
