What Work is Taking Place?

On January 30, crews will return to Brownlow Ave and Eglinton Ave to connect to the new storm sewer system installed last year.  Concrete will be removed so that crews can access the manhole below ground.  From there, concrete chipping and reforming will take place allowing the crews to connect to the new storm sewer infrastructure.  This work will be performed 24 hours per day.

Hours of Work

  • Wednesday January 30 for approximately three to five days; 24 hours
  • This work may be delayed or rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances


What to Expect

  • The southwest work zone will be extended westward to Brownlow Ave while the work takes place
  • Pedestrians will be rerouted south around the work zone
  • Concrete trucks will access the work zone from the west end of the work zone (at Brownlow Ave)
  • Traffic control personnel will assist with pedestrian and vehicle  traffic as trucks enter and exit the work zone
  • Some noise and lighting from construction activity can be expected
