What Work is Taking Place?

In support of construction of the future Kennedy Station, crews will be installing wet utilities pipes in the south bus loop and passenger platform area at Kennedy Station.

Working will involve removing existing concrete and excavating a trench followed by installation of the pipe and area restoration. To minimize disruption to transit users, the work will be performed overnight.

Hours of Work

  • Work is expected to start on Monday, December 17, 2018 and continue to late January 2019.
  • Work will take place between 2:00 AM – 5:30 AM.
  • Note: Unexpected circumstances (weather, equipment failure, etc.) may also change the above interruption plans or prolong the interruption. If this occurs, we will endeavour to provide reasonable notice.

What to Expect

  • Crews will remove existing concrete structures and trench approximately 1.5 metres.
  • Temporary steel plates will be in place over the exposed and excavated areas at the end of every shift.
  • Works will take place first on the south portion of the bus loop and then shift to the north portion of the bus loop and lastly to the passenger platform of the south bus loop.
