What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Monday November 29, 2021, crews will be preforming overnight storm and sanitary sewer installations on Weston Road at Hollis Street and Eglinton Avenue West. To facilitate this work safely, Weston Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction north of Eglinton Avenue West. Lane reductions on Weston Road, north of Eglinton Avenue West will only be in place overnight while this work takes place and will reopen and return to the current traffic configuration in the morning. The northbound, southbound, and westbound left turns will remain restricted while this work takes place. This work is expected to take place on Monday - Friday between 8:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. for approximately five (5) nights.
What to Expect
Expect delays while travelling through the area. Noise from construction activities can be expected. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while this work takes place.
HOURS OF WORK
- As early as Monday November 29, 2021, for approximately five (5) nights.
- This work is expected to take place on Monday - Friday between 8:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
- Work may take longer or shorter than expected.
- Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstance.
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- Weston Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction north of Eglinton Avenue West.
- Northbound, southbound, and westbound left turns will remain restricted while this work takes place.
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
- The north-south crosswalk on the east side of Weston Road and Eglinton Avenue West will be closed for the duration of this work.
TRANSIT INFORMATION
- The northbound TTC bus stop located on the southeast corner of the intersection will remain at the north end of Hollis Street for the duration of this work [TTC Route 71, 89, and 171].
