What Work is Taking Place?

A large drill rig will be moved from the secondary entrance on the northeast corner to the south side of Eglinton Avenue East at Ferrand Drive. The drill rig is required in preparation for piling work in support of the future Science Centre Station.

  • Friday, December 23 from approximately 4:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
  • Work is subject to permits and all relevant approvals, and may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

  • To minimize traffic disruption crews will work overnight to perform this work.
  • Lane reductions on Eglinton Ave. just east and west of Gervais Dr./Ferrand Dr. will be in effect.
  • Nearby residents and businesses can expect to hear movement of the drill rig, similar to that of a truck moving/backing up.

Short-Term Traffic & Pedestrian Details

  • A minimum of one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained.
