What Work is Taking Place?

Beginning Monday July 23, crews will be conducting overnight trenching work vicinity of Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West to install sleeves as part of the ongoing construction of Fairbank Station.

A lane closure is required to perform this work.  Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one shared lane between Dufferin Street and Dynevor Road, alternating traffic in each direction, while this work takes place.

To minimize the impact to road users and TTC, this work will take place overnight.

What to Expect

  • Lane reductions on Eglinton Avenue West will be required.
  • Noise from construction activity as well as site lighting can be expected.
  • Pedestrians and vehicle traffic can expect delays when traveling through the intersection.

Traffic and Pedestrian Impacts

  • Traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane only with traffic alternating in each direction controlled by a Paid Duty Officer or flag person.
