July 7, 2016
The closure of Park Hill Road was first communicated in a notice on April 19th 2016. This work had been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. The closure of Park Hill Road will now proceed this month. The north-south pedestrian walkway along the Allen Road southbound will close at a future date. We apologize for any inconvenience.
What Work is Taking Place?
- To accommodate the construction work zone as well as upcoming excavation and traffic deck installation for the construction of Cedarvale Station, the closure of Park Hill Road at Eglinton Avenue West will be required.
Timing
- Pending permit approval, the closures will begin as early as mid-July 2016, and will remain closed for approximately 4 ½ years.
What to Expect
- Pedestrians will be re-directed to use existing sidewalks on Park Hill Road. While Park Hill Road will be closed for motorists, the western sidewalk will be maintained to provide pedestrians direct access to Eglinton Avenue West.
- Traffic originating from and destined to Park Hill Road will be required to use alternate local streets.
- As always, take care when travelling through construction sites.
