What Work Is Taking Place

A pedestrian change has been implemented at Forest Hill Station. Pedestrians will be rerouted around the Station’s Secondary Entrance site on north side of Eglinton Avenue West, just west of Bathurst Street. This change is required in order to make way for shoring and utilities work in the northwest station box area.

Pedestrian Impacts

  • Pedestrians travelling on the north side of Eglinton Avenue West approaching from both the east, and west between Hilltop Rd and Bathurst St will be rerouted north around the secondary station site during this stage of the work.

What to Expect

  • Pedestrians will be rerouted around the station’s secondary entrance site located between Hilltop Rd and Bathurst St. along a paved pathway.
  • There will be pedestrian wayfinding signage posted in advance of the detour.
  • There will be lights installed along the detour route for pedestrian safety.
  • In October 2018 the reroute will be shifted slightly further north around the secondary entrance when an elevated walkway structure will be installed; a secondary notification will be provided for this piece of the work.
  • Access to all businesses will be maintained.
