What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Monday, March 7, 2023, crews at Leaside Station will perform overhead cable installations on the south side of Eglinton Avenue East, east and west of Bayview Avenue. This work is expected to take place between 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. for approximately two (2) days. During this work, the eastbound curb lane on Eglinton Avenue East will be closed periodically. All turns at the Bayview-Eglinton intersection will remain open.   

What to Expect

Lanes will reopen at the end of each working day. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while this work takes place. Noise from construction equipment can be expected. Expect delays while traveling through the intersection.

HOURS OF WORK

• As early as Monday, March 7, 2023.

• This work is expected to take place between 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. for approximately two (2) days. 

• This work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.

TRAFFIC DETAILS

• The eastbound curb lane on Eglinton Avenue East will be periodically closed east and west of Bayview Avenue during this work.

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

• Temporary pedestrian rerouting may be implemented periodically during this work. 

TRANSIT INFORMATION

• Access to TTC will be maintained at all times.
