Permanent Utility Connection Works at Forest Hill Station - February 9, 2022

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Wednesday February 9, 2022 crews will resume utility connection works on the north side of Eglinton Avenue West, between the Secondary Entrance site and Bathurst Street.

Periodically, crews will be required to temporarily close certain sections of the sidewalk on the north side of Eglinton Avenue West to connect the permanent utilities. This work will take approximately one (1) week to complete. Pedestrians will be rerouted around the closures.

What to Expect

Noise from construction equipment, including a hydro-vac truck, can be expected. Partial closures of the sidewalk on the north side of Eglinton Avenue West, between the Secondary Entrance site and Bathurst Street, will be required. Pedestrian rerouting will be in effect. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection.

HOURS OF WORK

• As early as Wednesday February 9, 2022 for approximately one (1) week
• Utility works are expected to take place between 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
• Overnight work may be required to facilitate specialized activities
• This work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

TRAFFIC DETAILS

• No changes to the current traffic configuration are expected as a result of this work

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

• Sections of the sidewalk on the north side of Eglinton Avenue West will be temporarily closed between the Secondary Entrance site and Bathurst Street

• Periodically pedestrians will be rerouted south around the closures
