*POSTPONED* Road Closure for Overnight Concrete Pour at Forest Hill Station - October 19, 2019

THIS WORK HAS BEEN POSTPONED

On Saturday October 19, 2019 beginning at 2:00 a.m. crews will close Eglinton Ave between Hilltop and Old Forest Hill Roads for approximately 12 hours to perform a concrete pour at Forest Hill Station.  The concrete will form the exterior wall of the Secondary Entrance.  Bathurst Street will remain open.  Concrete trucks will stage on Eglinton Avenue within the closure. Once the pour is complete, Eglinton Avenue will re-open.  To minimize the impact to the travelling public, and to ensure the integrity of the pour, this work will take place overnight when traffic is lighter.  Significant traffic changes, including TTC detours, will be in effect.  Please carefully review “Traffic Details” below.

  • This activity is weather-dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled due to inclement weather

Construction Staging


What to Expect

  • Eglinton Ave will be closed between Hilltop and Old Forest Hill Rds
  • Overnight noise from construction and site lighting can be expected
  • Pedestrian and property access will be maintained
  • 10+ concrete trucks expected per hour during the concrete pour

Traffic Details

  • No through access on Eglinton Ave between Hilltop and Old Forest Hill Rds
  • Bathurst St will remain open during this work
  • Peveril Hill Rd N will remain closed at Eglinton during this work Eglinton Ave

TTC Detour

  • TTC bus routes #32 and #332 will on detour in both directions while the closure is in place
  • The detour will utilize local streets
  • Signage will be in place to notify patrons of the detour
