Eglinton Crosstown Open House at Leaside

On Tuesday, March 18, Councillor John Parker hosted an Open House about the Eglinton Crosstown Project.

At Leaside Gardens, Councillor Parker was joined by staff from the Crosstown project and Toronto Transportation Services, to discuss Eglinton Crosstown construction work progressing into Leaside, with work on the east tunnel and Laird and Bayview stations set to begin.

Eglinton Crosstown Update – Chaplin Station

The Eglinton Crosstown is a 19 kilometre light rail transit line that will run along Eglinton Avenue through the heart of Toronto, with an underground central section. The line will connect Mount Dennis in the west to Kennedy Road in the east, the new service will be up to 60 per cent faster than bus service today. Read more »

Chaplin Station Open House

If you were unable to attend the Open House on Feburary 24, you can learn all about the upcoming installation of a jet grout plant and headwall construction in the Chaplin and Eglinton area:

The first tunnel boring machine is well underway with tunnelling; it recently bored through the headwall at Keele St. The second TBM is following closely behind. Read more »

Open Letter to the Residents of Eglinton Avenue and Allen Road Area

Re: Traffic Congestion and Pedestrian Safety at Allen Road/Eglinton Avenue

The Eglinton Crosstown is a light rail transit (LRT) line that will run across Eglinton Avenue between Mount Dennis (Weston Road) and Kennedy Station. This 19-kilometre corridor will include a 10-kilometre underground portion, between Keele Street and Laird Drive.  It will provide a rapid and reliable service that will be up to 60% faster than bus service today, when it is completed in 2020.
