What: Pedestrian traffic is to be shifted back to the north of the extraction shaft. A traffic adjustment will also return a second eastbound lane for TTC buses, west of the Allen Road and Park Hill Road will re-open.
Where: Crews will be adjusting lanes of traffic as the work begins to reinstate the area of the tunnel extraction shaft on the north side of Eglinton Avenue West, west of the southbound Allen Road ramp.
When: Starting in late October 2015, pedestrian traffic will return to the pedestrian walkway along the north side of the extraction shaft.
Starting in late November 2015, crews will adjust traffic to return a second eastbound lane on Eglinton Avenue, west of the Allen Road for TTC buses. Park Hill Road will be re-opened as part of this stage.
Pedestrian Details:
West of the Eglinton West subway station, pedestrian traffic will return to being re-routed north on Park Hill Road to the larger pedestrian walkway wrapping around the extraction shaft construction site and south to Eglinton Avenue southbound ramp pedestrian crosswalk.
Work Hours:
The hours of work as permitted are between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m., seven days a week. Overnight work may be required. Underground tunnelling and associated work may continue 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Timelines may be adjusted due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
