What Work is Taking Place?

As early as, Monday, April 3, 2023, crews will be performing road repair works at Forest Hill Station. This work will take approximately two (2) weeks to complete and will be carried out in three phases (refer to maps above). Significant traffic and pedestrian changes will be in effect while this work takes place. For more information, please review the complete notice or visit www.thecrosstown.ca.

What to Expect

Noise from construction activities can be expected. Expect delays while travelling through the area. Turn restrictions will be implemented at the Hilltop-Eglinton and Chiltern Hill-Eglinton intersections during certain phases of the works. Traffic control personnel and/or paid duty officer will be present while this work is taking place.

HOURS OF WORK

  • As early as Monday, April 3, 2023, for approximately two (2) weeks
  • The duration of the works will be approximately two (2) weeks; each phase of work will take approximately three (3) days to complete
  • Construction activities are expected to take place on Monday to Friday between approximately 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances
  • This work may be longer or shorter than expected

TRAFFIC DETAILS

  • Phase One:
    • Hilltop Road will be closed to southbound traffic between the Green P parking lot entrance and Eglinton Avenue West
    • Northbound traffic on Hilltop Road will be maintained
    • Westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane at Hilltop Road
    • Phase Two:
      • The southbound left turn from Hilltop Road onto Eglinton Avenue West will be restricted
      • Eastbound and westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one through lane at Hilltop Road
      • The westbound left turn from Eglinton Avenue West onto Chiltern Hill Road will be restricted
      • The northbound left turn from Chiltern Hill Road onto Eglinton Avenue West will be restricted
      • Phase Three:
        • All turns from Eglinton Avenue West onto Chiltern Hill Road will be restricted
        • Eastbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to two lanes at Chiltern Hill Road
        • The northbound left turn from Chiltern Hill Road onto Eglinton Avenue West will also remain restricted.  

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  •  Temporary pedestrian rerouting may be implemented periodically during this work.
