What Work is Taking Place?
As early as, Saturday, November 5, 2022, crews at Cedarvale Station will begin final road restoration works on Allen Road North at Eglinton Avenue West. To facilitate this work safely, the on-ramp to Allen Road North from Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane. Crews will restore the east side of Allen Road North first. Once restoration of the east side is completed, crews will shift to the west side of the road. Road restoration at Allen Road North will take approximately two (2) weeks to complete.
Between Friday, November 11 – Saturday, November 12, 2022, crews will perform road restoration works on Allen Road South. To facilitate this work safely, the off-ramp from Allen Road South onto Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane. To mitigate impact to the travelling public, this work will take place during off-peak hours, between 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
What to Expect
Noise from construction activities, including concrete pours, paving, grading, and compacting, can be expected. Expect delays while traveling through the area.
HOURS OF WORK
- Work at Allen Road North: As early as Saturday, November 5, 2022, for approximately two (2) weeks
- Work at Allen Road South: Friday, November 11 – Saturday, November 12, 2022, between 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- The on-ramp to Allen Road North from Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane
- The off-ramp from Allen Road South onto Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane during the dates and times noted above
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
- No changes to the current pedestrian routes are expected as a result of this work
