What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Wednesday, November 9, 2022, traffic on Eglinton Avenue, west of Duplex Avenue, will shift to the outer lanes to accommodate road restoration works in the center of the street. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Eglinton Avenue. This traffic configuration will remain in place for approximately two (2) weeks.
What to Expect
A Paid Duty Officer and/or traffic control personnel will be present during this work. Utility work, road and sidewalk restoration, and landscaping will take place on Eglinton Avenue. Noise from construction activity, including trucks, concrete breaking, paving, utility work, and use of heavy equipment can be expected. Traffic barrels, fencing, and signage will be in place to delineate work zones. Access to businesses, properties, and TTC will be maintained. Expect delays while traveling through the intersection.
HOURS OF WORK
- Starting Wednesday, November 9, 2022, for approximately two (2) weeks
- Construction activities will take place from 6:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- Overnight work may be required
- Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- Traffic on Eglinton Avenue, west of Duplex Avenue, will shift to the outer lanes
- One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Eglinton Avenue while this work takes place
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
- All sidewalks and crosswalks are expected to remain open
- Temporary pedestrian rerouting may be in effect

- Access to TTC will be maintained at all times.
