Road Restoration Works at Mount Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue East

What Work is Taking Place?

On Friday, December 13, 2019, crews will perform road restoration works along Eglinton Avenue East and Mount Pleasant Road. As part of this work, crews will be paving potholes and smoothing out bumps at the intersection.

Intermittent lane closures are required to complete the works. Eglinton Avenue East and Mount Pleasant Road will be reduced to one lane only, alternating traffic in each direction, while this work takes place. Work will begin as early as 9:30 a.m. and take approximately three (3) hours to complete. Lane closures will take place intermittently for approximately fifteen (15) minutes. Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present while this work takes place. Crews will endeavour to minimize disruption as much as possible.

Hours of Work

  • Friday, December 13, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • Work may be delayed or rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

  • Expect delays while travelling through the intersection.
  • Paving works along Mount Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue East.
  • Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present while this work takes place.

Traffic and Pedestrian Impacts

  • Intermittent lane closures of Mount Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue East from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • All pedestrian routes will remain the same.

Transit Information

  • Access to TTC will be maintained at all times.

Travelling Smart During Construction

Travel delays are expected with Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
