As early as Tuesday, May 19, 2020, crews will start to restore the building façade at 223 Eglinton Avenue East (Eglinton Junior Public School). Restoration of the façade will begin at the top of the building, with crews removing the scaffolding, as work progresses downward. The entire scaffolding structure is expected to be removed by late July 2020. 

 

Hours of Work

As early as Tuesday, May 19, 2020 for approximately two (2) months

Work may be delayed or rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

The south sidewalk on Eglinton Avenue East between Brownlow Avenue and Mt Pleasant Road is expected to remain open while this work takes place; short-term pedestrian rerouting may be in effect

Removal of the entire scaffold by late-July 2020. 

 

Traffic and Pedestrian Changes

All traffic and pedestrian routes are expected to remain the same.

Travelling Smart during Construction

Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
