What Work is Taking Place?

In order to prepare for construction of the new TTC emergency services building, crews will be installing new hydro infrastructure along Berwick Avenue between Duplex Avenue and Yonge Street. In order to complete the next phase of this work, crews will be installing new transformers at the corner of Duplex Avenue and Berwick Avenue. A hydro outage is required in order to safely carry out this work. The following properties will lose hydro service temporarily during this work:

32 and 38 Berwick Avenue

Hours of Work

  • Crews will be conducting this work on Sunday, March 25th from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Please note that work could be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

 

What to Expect

  • Hydro service will be lost for the properties identified above during the working hours noted above. 
  • Construction zones will be instated along Berwick Avenue and Duplex Avenue. 
  • Residents and businesses near construction sites should anticipate noise from excavators, bobcats, and other construction equipment caused by the works.
  • All access to businesses is maintained throughout the stages.
