What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Monday April 11, 2022, a pedestrian reroute will be implemented at the north-east corner of Bayview Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East to accommodate sidewalk restoration works. On the east side of Bayview Avenue, north of Eglinton Avenue, pedestrians will be shifted slightly west. On the north side of Eglinton Avenue, east of Bayview Avenue, pedestrians will be shifted slightly south. A temporary walkway will be created to maintain access through the area. Concrete barriers, fencing and signage will be installed to delineate work zones and traffic. This pedestrian rerouting is expected to remain in place for approximately one (1) week.
What to Expect
Noise from construction equipment such as excavators, trucks, hammers, and a crane can be expected. Upon completion of the works, the previous pedestrian routes will be reinstated. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection.
HOURS OF WORK
- As early as Monday April 11, 2022, for approximately one (1) week
- Crews at Leaside Station are currently working Monday to Saturday, between 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 a.m. midnight
- This work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- No changes to the current traffic configuration is expected as a result of this work.
- Short-term pedestrian rerouting will be in effect at the north-west corner of the Bayview-Eglinton intersection
- On the north side of Eglinton Avenue, east of Bayview Avenue, pedestrians will be shifted slightly south
- On the east side of Bayview Avenue, north of Eglinton Avenue, pedestrians will be shifted slightly west
- A temporary walkway will be created to maintain access through the area.

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
