What Work is Taking Place

To prepare for the construction of Eglinton Station, crews are working to re-route existing hydro utilities in the vicinity of Eglinton Avenue and Yonge Street.  A portion of the work at Duplex Avenue and Eglinton Avenue will impact the TTC bus service in and out of the Eglinton Station bus loop on Duplex Avenue. To maintain safe and timely TTC service, some bus routes (listed below) will be detoured for these works. Below is a map of the bus detour, impacted bus stops, and parking restrictions required for the detour.

The work is expected to begin as early as July 17, 2017 and will last for approximately 2-4 weeks.  Work will take place from 7am – 7pm, 7 days a week. Affected buses will be detoured during the work (7am to 7pm) and will return to normal routes from 7pm – 7am daily.

What To Expect

  • Parking will be restricted on the following streets:
  1. Broadway Avenue from Yonge Street to Redpath Avenue
  2. Redpath Avenue from Broadway Avenue to Soudan Avenue
  3. Soudan Avenue from Yonge Street to Redpath Avenue
  • The eastbound and westbound bus stops on Eglinton Avenue at Dunfield Avenue will be out of service (as pictured in the map below).
