What Work is Taking Place?

As part of construction of the future surface alignment for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, crews will be conducting subsurface utility investigation along Eglinton Avenue East between Birchmount Road and Rosemount Drive.

Work began as early as November 26th. There will be sidewalk closure on the north side of Eglinton Avenue East near 2306 Eglinton Avenue East in order to safely carry out the work.

Crews will drill bore holes and use a hydro-vacuum truck within the boulevard and roadway to determine the location and depth of existing underground utilities for design purposes. Once the work is complete, roads will be backfilled and restored accordingly.
