WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?
Crews will be constructing final sidewalks at the four corners of the Eglinton Ave E and Hakimi and Lebovic Ave intersection. Work on the west side of the intersection is expected to begin November 12, 2020 for a period of one week. Work on the east side of the intersection is expected to begin November 23, 2020 for a period of one week.
WHAT TO EXPECT
A change to the traffic configuration will be implemented. Activities will include concrete removals, excavation, backfill and concrete works to form the new sidewalks.
HOURS OF WORK
- Stage 1 of work on the west side of the intersection is expected to begin November 12, 2020 for a period of one week.
- Stage 2 of work on the east side of the intersection is expected to begin November 23, 2020 for a period of one week.
- Work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.
- Work may be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- All turn movements will be maintained at the intersection.
- Closure of one eastbound lane at intersection during construction activities on affected side.
- Closure westbound lane at intersection the during construction activities on affected side
- Closure of one northbound lane at the intersection for construction activities on the east side of the intersection.
- Closure of one southbound lane at the intersection for construction activities on the west side of the intersection.
PEDESTRIAN & TTC DETAILS
- There will be no impacts to existing pedestrian routes.
- The west crosswalk will remain closed for the duration of these works.
- There will be no impacts to current TTC stop locations.
OTHER INFORMATION
- Noise from construction equipment and crews can be expected.
