What Work is Taking Place?

Crews will be constructing final sidewalks at the four corners of the Eglinton Ave E and Hakimi and Lebovic Ave intersection. Work on the east side of the intersection is expected to begin November 18, 2020 for a period of one week.

What to Expect

A change to the traffic configuration will be implemented. Activities will include concrete removals, excavation, backfill and concrete works to form the new sidewalks. The Eglinton Ave driveways for 1910 and 1920 Eglinton Ave E will be closed. Alternate driveways will remain accessible on Hakimi Ave and Eglinton Ave E for the duration of the works.

HOURS OF WORK

  • Work on the east side of the intersection is expected to begin November 18, 2020 for a period of one week.
  • Work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances

TRAFFIC DETAILS

  • Closure of Eglinton Ave E Driveways at 1910 and 1920 Eglinton Ave E.
  • All turn movements will be maintained at the intersection.
  • Closure of one eastbound and westbound lane at the intersection.
  • Closure of one northbound lane at the intersection for construction activities on the east side of the intersection.

PEDESTRIAN & TTC DETAILS

  • There will be no impacts to existing pedestrian routes.
  • The west crosswalk will remain closed for the duration of these works.
  • There will be no impacts to current TTC stop locations.

OTHER INFORMATION

  • Noise from construction equipment and crews can be expected.
