What Work is Taking Place?
As part of construction of the future surface alignment for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, crews will be constructing new sidewalks and curbs and performing final roadworks on the north side of Eglinton Avenue East, west of Swift Drive. Work is expected to begin as early as July 20, 2020 and last for a period of three (3) weeks.

Hours of Work
• Work will begin as early as July 20, 2020 and last for a period of three (3) weeks.
• Work may be performed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., Monday to Sunday.
• Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
What to Expect
• Crews will be completing final sidewalk, curb and roadworks.
• Construction activities will include:
o Asphalt and concrete removals
o Excavation
o Backfill
o Compaction
o Final asphalt and concrete works
• Noise, minor vibrations and dust from construction equipment and vehicles can be expected.
Traffic Details
• There will be a closure of the westbound curb lane on Eglinton Avenue East, west of Swift Drive.
• A minimum of one lane in each direction will be maintained during this work.
• Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Pedestrian and TTC Details
• There will be no changes to existing pedestrian routes.
• There will be no changes to the current TTC bus stops.
• Relocation and re-routing of bus stops and buses is done in consultation with TTC to ensure construction can continue safely, while minimizing impact on the community and customers.
Travelling Smart during Construction
Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
