Sidewalk Restoration Work at Mount Pleasant Station - As early as October 19, 2022

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Wednesday, October 19, 2022, crews at Mount Pleasant Station will begin sidewalk restoration work on the west side of Mount Pleasant Road, north of Eglinton Avenue East. Temporary walkways will be installed to maintain pedestrian access during this work. For safety purposes, entry, and egress to/from the driveway at 808 Mount Pleasant Road will be periodically reduced at Mount Pleasant Road. This work is expected to take place between 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 a.m. for approximately one (1) week.

What to Expect

Temporary pedestrian rerouting will be in effect. Noise from construction equipment including jackhammers, concrete trucks, and hammers can be expected. Fencing, filter cloth, and traffic barrels will be in place to delineate work zones. Advance signage will be installed to direct pedestrians around the closure. The existing sidewalk will be removed, and a new sidewalk will be constructed. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while this work takes place.

HOURS OF WORK

• Starting as early as Wednesday, October 19, 2022.

• This work will take place between 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 a.m. for approximately one (1) week.

• This work may be rescheduled or delayed due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.

TRAFFIC DETAILS

• During this work, entry, and egress to/from the driveway at 808 Mount Pleasant Road will be periodically reduced at Mount Pleasant Road.

• No changes to the current traffic configuration are expected as a result of this work.

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

• Pedestrians will be diverted around the work zones as required.

TRANSIT INFORMATION

• Access to TTC will be maintained at all times.
