Subsurface Utility Engineering Investigation Continues Between Kennedy Road and Pharmacy Avenue

What Work is Taking Place?

• To prepare for future construction, crews will be conducting Subsurface Utility Investigation work along Eglinton Avenue East between Kennedy Road and Pharmacy Avenue.  
• Crews will drill bore holes and use a hydro-vacuum truck within the boulevard and roadway to determine the location and depth of existing underground utilities for design purposes.
• Once the work is complete, roads will be backfilled and restored accordingly.

Timing                                                       

• Work will begin as early as Wednesday, February 1, 2017 and is expected to last two to three (2-3) days.
• Work will occur between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
• Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances 

What to Expect

• Nearby residents and businesses can expect to see heavy trucks and equipment in the area as crews move from one bore hole to the next.
• Nearby residents and businesses can expect to hear noise related to the use of saw cutters, hydro-vacuum trucks, drills, and other construction equipment.

Traffic and Pedestrian Details

• There will be intermittent sidewalk and lane closures between Kennedy Road and Pharmacy Avenue.
• Pedestrian and property access will be maintained.
• As always, please take care when travelling near work sites.
