What Work is Taking Place?
- To prepare for future construction, crews will be conducting Subsurface Utility Investigation work along Eglinton Avenue East between Kennedy Road and Pharmacy Avenue.
- Crews will drill bore holes and use a hydro-vacuum truck within the boulevard and roadway to determine the location and depth of existing underground utilities for design purposes.
- Once the work is complete, roads will be backfilled and restored accordingly.
Timing
- Work will begin as early as Wednesday, February 1, 2017 and is expected to last two to three (2-3) days.
- Work will occur between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
- Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances
What to Expect
- Nearby residents and businesses can expect to see heavy trucks and equipment in the area as crews move from one bore hole to the next.
- Nearby residents and businesses can expect to hear noise related to the use of saw cutters, hydro-vacuum trucks, drills, and other construction equipment.
Traffic and Pedestrian Details
- There will be intermittent sidewalk and lane closures between Kennedy Road and Pharmacy Avenue.
- Pedestrian and property access will be maintained.
- As always, please take care when travelling near work sites.
