Surface monitoring equipment is required for installation in the identified area. This equipment will measure important data related to the work of our TBMs (tunnel boring machines) underground. These measurements will guide construction crews in determining if adjustments are needed for tunnelling activities along Eglinton Avenue West.

Work at these locations are expected to continue all week to January 15, beginning at 7:00 a.m. and to be complete by 5:00 p.m.

The equipment will continue to be installed at various points within the roadway along Eglinton Avenue West from Heddington Avenue to Braemar Avenue.

Traffic Details:

  • Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction near the work zone and temporary lane closures will be required to allow crews to perform work safely
  • Traffic will be diverted around the work zone, separated by traffic cones
  • There will be no street parking near the affected areas during this time

Pedestrians will not be affected by this work. Access to all stores and businesses in the area will remain open during this installation. As always, please take care when travelling near construction areas.
