Temporary Bus Stop Relocation at Bayview Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East

What Work is Taking Place?

 As early as Wednesday March 9, 2022, the eastbound TTC bus stop located on the south side of Eglinton Avenue East, east of Bayview Avenue, will be temporarily relocated slightly east to accommodate dry utility works for Leaside Station (refer to map). The bus stop relocation will remain in place for approximately two (2) weeks. Once the works are complete, the stop will be moved back to its original location.

What to Expect

 Relocation of the bus stop on the south side of Eglinton Avenue East, east of Bayview Avenue. Noise from construction activity can be expected. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Office will be present while the changes are being implemented.

HOURS OF WORK 

  • As early as Wednesday March 9, 2022, for approximately two (2) weeks
  • This work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.

TRAFFIC DETAILS

  • One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Eglinton Avenue East and Bayview Avenue

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  • The pedestrian diversion around the Main Entrance site will remain in place during this work (refer to map).

TTC IMPACTS

  • The eastbound TTC bus stop located on the south side of Eglinton Avenue East, east of Bayview Avenue, will be temporarily relocated slightly east (refer to map).
  • Access to TTC will be maintained at all times.
