As early as Monday, March 22, crews will be removing the retaining wall between Ferrand Dr and Eglinton Ave E. In order to safely perform these activities, Ferrand Dr will be temporarily converted into a one-way street. Pedestrians will be temporarily rerouted around the new work zone. There will be no changes to the crosswalks. This staging will remain in place for approximately six (6) weeks.
What to Expect
Ferrand Dr will have only one-way access only for vehicular traffic from east of the Eglinton Ave E off-ramp and the east entrance to Windom Rd. Pedestrian access on the south side of Eglinton Ave E will be safely rerouted around the new work zone. Access to properties will be maintained
Hours of Work
• This change will be implemented as early as Monday, March 22
• This stage will remain in place for approximately six (6) weeks.
• The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours but may do so at its discretion
• Work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances
• This work may be longer or shorter than expected
Traffic Details
• Ferrand Dr will be temporarily converted into a one-way traveling eastbound, from the east side of the Eglinton Ave E off-ramp until the east entrance to Windom Rd
• Windom Rd remains open to two-way traffic
• The southbound exit onto Ferrand Dr from Eglinton Ave E will remain open
Pedestrians Details
• Pedestrians will be rerouted around the new work zone, south of Eglinton Ave E
• Access to businesses and properties will be maintained
• No changes to the crosswalks
Transit Information
• All TTC bus stops will remain in their current locations
Other Impacts
• Noise from construction equipment such as trucks and construction vehicles
