What Work is Happening?

Crews will perform works to complete temporary power connections for the main and secondary entrances for Leaside Station. Work includes hydro pole replacements, switch installations and trenching for underground installations. Short duration hydro outages will occur during these works. If your address is impacted by an outage you will receive a separate notification.

Work will occur in the following locations:

  • East side of Mann Ave at Soudan Ave (switch installations)
  • East side of Mt Pleasant Rd between Manor Rd and Penrose Rd (switch installations)
  • North of Secondary Entrance (trenching)
  • South of Main Entrance (trenching)
  • Soudan Ave between Bayview Ave and Cleveland Ave (pole installations)

Timing

  • Work is expected to begin as early as May 29, 2017 and will take approximately three (3) weeks to complete.
  • Work will occur between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.  
  • Work is subject to permits and all relevant approvals, and may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

Traffic Details 

  • Lane closures will be in place near the construction areas.
  • On street parking will be impacted on Soudan Ave between Bayview Ave and Mann Ave. This will last up to three (3) days, between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Separate notices will be delivered locally to notify of the dates of this closure. 
  • A road closure will occur on Soudan Ave between Hoyle Ave and Cleveland Street. This closure will last up to three (3) days, between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Separate notices will be delivered locally to notify of dates of this closure. 

Pedestrian Details 

  • Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
