Temporary Power Works at Oakwood Station

What Work is Taking Place? 

Starting Friday, December 13, 2019 crews at Oakwood Station will perform temporary power works at Times Road and Eglinton Avenue West. This work will take approximately four (4) days to complete. To accommodate these works, the east sidewalk on Times Road will be closed and pedestrians will be rerouted to the west sidewalk. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while this work takes place.

  • Starting Friday, December 13, 2019 for approximately four (4) days
  • The closure may be in effect shorter or longer than expected

Construction Configuration


What to Expect

  • Staging of construction equipment and trucks in the east curb lane on Times Road
  • Additional directional signage to inform pedestrians during the closure
  • Expect delays when travelling near work zones
  • Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Office will be present while this work takes place
  • Power will not be affected

Pedestrian Impacts

  • Closure of the east sidewalk on Times Road, pedestrians will be rerouted to the west sidewalk

Transit Information

  • Access to TTC will be maintained at all times 
  • Travelling Smart during Construction
  • Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
