What: There will be a temporary water shut off on Saturday, May 9th. Between 6:00am and 9:00am, there will be no water available from the taps.
When: Saturday, May 9, 2015, 6:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M.
Where: Temporary water shut off will be experienced at the following addresses:
- 20, 30, 40, 50 Eglinton Avenue East (north side)
Why: Construction on the water main is part of the continued construction of the extraction shaft.
Crews are working on utility construction and relocation prior to building headwalls and excavation of the extraction shaft. This work requires that utilities to be moved safely out of the way. Depending on site conditions, gas, hydro, water mains, sewers, traffic and street lighting, and telephone lines may also be relocated to allow for construction.
Notice:
Please note that the City’s inspector has been notified and 48 hours’ notice of water shut down will be distributed to residents affected.
An alternate date may be communicated with 24 hours’ notice if a portion of the work has to be re-scheduled for inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we complete the Crosstown Project.
