What Work is Taking Place
As part of the ongoing construction to support the future surface alignment for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, lanes will be restricted at Warden Avenue to raise the existing maintenance holes to street level. Work will begin as early as Monday, February 3, 2020 and last for five (5) days.
Northbound and southbound lanes will be restricted on Warden Avenue at Eglinton Avenue East.
Work will include minor excavation, utility and grading work to raise the maintenance holes to ground level.

Hours of Work
February 3, 2020 – February 5, 2020
• One lane will be restricted northbound and southbound on Warden Avenue at Eglinton Avenue East.
• Work will be performed in the off-peak hours between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
• Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
February 6, 2020 - February 7, 2020
• One lane will be restricted southbound on Warden Avenue at Eglinton Avenue East.
• Work will be performed beginning at 9:00 a.m. on February 6, 2020 and will be in place overnight until 5:00 p.m. on February 7, 2020.
• Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
What to Expect
• Minimal overnight noise from construction equipment, such as excavators, trucks and generators, as well as site lighting can be expected.
• Good neighbour training, broadband back up alarms and quieter generators will be implemented to reduce disruption from construction activities to the neighbourhood.
• Training and controls to reduce the noise produced by equipment and workers in place.
Traffic and Pedestrian Impacts
• Access to businesses will not be impacted.
• A minimum of one lane of northbound and southbound through traffic will be maintained during this work
• Emergency services access will be maintained
TTC Impacts
• All temporary TTC bus stops will remain in their current locations.
• Relocation and re-routing of bus stops and buses is done in consultation with TTC to ensure construction can continue safely, while minimizing impact on the community and customers
