What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Thursday October 15, the traffic configuration at Dufferin St and Eglinton Ave W will change to accommodate the next stage of construction. Traffic on Dufferin St will be shifted to the east side, and traffic on Eglinton will remain on the south. This stage will be in place for approximately four months.

 

What to Expect

The work zone on the north side of Eglinton, east of Dufferin, will remain in place. The work zone on the west side of Dufferin, north side of Eglinton will be extended into the intersection. The pedestrian crosswalk on the west side will be closed and the east pedestrian crosswalk will open. Noise from construction equipment such as trucks and construction vehicles is expected.

 

TRAFFIC IMPACTS

  • Traffic on Eglinton Ave W will remain on the south
  • Traffic on Dufferin St will be shifted to the east
  • All turn restrictions will remain in place.
  • Dufferin St and Eglinton Ave W will remain open

 

PEDESTRIAN IMPACTS

  • The west crosswalk will close, and the east crosswalk will be reinstated
  • All TTC bus stops will remain in their current locations

 

HOURS OF WORK

  • The traffic configuration will be implemented as early as Thursday October 15.
  • This stage will remain in place for approximately four months.  
  • The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours but may do so at its discretion.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
  • This work may be longer or shorter than expected.
