What Work Is Taking Place?
By early October 2020, a new traffic configuration will be implemented at Bathurst Street and Eglinton Avenue. A dedicated northbound left turn lane from Bathurst Street onto Eglinton Avenue will be added with an advance signal. All other turns at the intersection will remain prohibited. The new traffic configuration is expected to remain in place for several months.
What to Expect
Traffic on Eglinton Avenue and Bathurst Street will remain on the south and west sides of the street, respectively. Existing work zones may be adjusted when the new configuration is implemented.
Hours of Work
- The new traffic configuration is expected to be implemented by early October 2020 and remain in place for several months.
- Overnight work may be required to implement the new configuration.
- Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Traffic and Pedestrian Details
- A new dedicated northbound left turn lane with advance signal will be added to the intersection.
- The northbound left turn will be prohibited for large trucks.
- All other turns at the intersection will remain prohibited.
- A Paid Duty Officer and/or traffic control personnel will be present when the new configuration is implemented.
- No change to existing pedestrian routes.

- No changes to TTC are required for this work.
