Crews are currently completing final utility relocations, backfill and restoration works in the existing construction site on the south side of Eglinton Avenue at Donlea Drive. On September 30, the construction zone will shift to the north side of Eglinton Avenue. The new construction zone will allow for the completion of utility relocations, backfill and road restoration. Following the work, all lanes will be restored, and the construction zone will be removed. A small emergency exit building will be permanently in place on the boulevard.
HOURS OF WORK
- Utility relocations, backfill and pavement restoration will take approximately six (6) weeks.
- The construction zone will shift on September 30th.
- Work will occur between 7:00 am to 11:00 pm.
TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIAN IMPACTS
- One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained.
- There will be no access from Donlea Drive to Eglinton Avenue East for the duration of the work.
- The sidewalk on the northeast corner of Donlea Drive and Eglinton Avenue will be closed during the works.
- There is no impact to existing TTC stops.

- Travel delays are expected with construction. Please allow extra time for your journey.
- Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Eglinton Crosstown LRT construction.
