What Work is Taking Place?

Pending City of Toronto approval to prepare for the start of construction at the future Avenue Station, crews will install a temporary traffic signal for pedestrian crossing west of Braemar Avenue. Once shoring begins, the north/south crossing of Eglinton Avenue West at Avenue Road will be closed and the new temporary crossing will facilitate pedestrian movement in the area. Crews will also relocate a traffic light pole at the northwest corner of Eglinton Avenue West and Avenue Road.

  • Works are expected to begin as early as August 8, 2016 and will take approximately two (2) weeks to complete
  • Work is permitted between the hours of 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances
