WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?
As early as March 30, 2020, crews will begin to remove a grouping of trees located at the North Hydro Property of 2438 and 2444 Eglinton Avenue East. The trees will be removed in support of the final design of the TTC North Service Parking Lot at Kennedy Station.
Tree protection measures will be in effect, and environmental personnel will be on site to ensure tree removal and protection work is carried out in accordance with regulatory requirements. All removals have been approved by the City of Toronto.
HOURS OF WORK
• Starting as early as March 30, 2020 for approximately two (2) weeks.
• Work is expected to occur from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours but may do so at its discretion.
• Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
WHAT TO EXPECT
• Removal of trees at the North Hydro Property of 2438 and 2444 Eglinton Avenue East
• Residents and businesses nearby can anticipate noise from chainsaws and woodchippers for the removal of trees.
• In addition to construction activity, residents can expect to see equipment and material storage within designated work zones.
TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
• There will be no impacts to the current traffic configuration on Eglinton Avenue East.
