What Work is Taking Place?
As part of the continued support of excavation works (shoring) and utility relocations for the future Kennedy Station, crews will be conducting a series of bus flips in the vicinity of the Scarborough Rapid Transit (SRT) - Line 3 at Kennedy Road.
The first stage began Mid-February 2019. As early as Sunday March 31, 2019, shoring will take place on the east side of the SRT, in order to accommodate this work east and west bound buses will be re-routed to the North Service Road to enter and exit Kennedy Station. This stage will last for approximately three (3) months.
Hours of Work
- Traffic reconfiguration work is expected to start as early as Sunday, March 31, 2019 starting at 5 AM until 8AM.
- Once the new traffic set up in in place, this phase is expected to last approximately three (3) months.
- Support of excavation (SOE) work will be performed between the hours of 6 AM and 6 PM, Monday to Saturday.
- Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
What to Expect
- Buses will enter and exit Kennedy Station via North Service Road.
- Support of excavation activities will be underway on the east side of the SRT.
- Stage will last for approximately three (3) months.
