What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Monday August 17, 2020 crews at Mount Pleasant Station will perform a concrete pour within the work zone of the north side of Eglinton Avenue East, west of Mount Pleasant Road. The concrete will form one of the permanent station structures underground. To ensure the integrity and continuity of the pour, work will begin as early as 7:00 a.m. and take approximately five (5) hours to complete.

Concrete trucks will stage along Eglinton Avenue East and within the work zones. One concrete pump will be set up at the west end of the site. Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present while this work takes place

 

What to Expect

Noise from construction equipment including concrete trucks and pumps, can be expected. 

Several concrete trucks entering/exiting the site every hour, as well as truck staging around work zones. Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present while this work takes place. 

 

 

 HOURS OF WORK

As early as Monday August 17, 2020  

Work will begin as early as 7:00 a.m. and is expected to take approximately five (5) hours to complete. 

This work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances. 

 

TRAFFIC IMPACTS

Concrete trucks will stage on Eglinton Avenue East and within the work zones. 

No changes to traffic routes are expected as a result of this work. 

 

PEDESTRIAN IMPACTS

No changes to pedestrian routes are expected as a result of this work.
