What Work is Taking Place

To prepare for the construction of Eglinton Station, crews have been relocating existing water mains and sanitary sewers in the vicinity of Eglinton Avenue and Yonge Street.  To complete this work, crews need to connect the new sanitary sewer with the existing sewer located at the northwest corner of the Yonge-Eglinton intersection.

Crews will begin this work as early as Friday, June 23rd during the daytime, between 7:00 a.m. and11:00 p.m. The work is expected to last for approximately 5 days. The east-west crosswalk on the north side of the Yonge-Eglinton intersection will close, and a temporary crossing will be installed north of the work zone (as depicted below). A paid-duty officer will be present for the duration of this work. Drivers and pedestrians will be directed around the work site accordingly.  As always, please be safe when travelling around construction sites.
