What work is taking place?


As the construction of the elevated guideway progresses, crews will be removing overhang formwork & installing underpass lighting as early as late April 2019. Rolling lane closures on Black Creek Drive will be required to safely carry out this work. 

Hours of work

  • Work is expected to last for approximately five days as early as late April 2019.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions of unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

  •  Rolling traffic lane restrictions on Black Creek Drive.
  • All turning movements at the Black Creek Drive and Eglinton Avenue intersection will be maintained.
  • The north and east crosswalks at the Black Creek Drive and Eglinton intersection will remain closed.
  • In addition to construction activity, residents can expect to see equipment and material storage within designated work zones.

Travelling Smart during Construction

Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
