WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?

Two additional monitoring wells are required at the Avenue Station, east of the Secondary Entrance. These wells  support the ongoing monitoring instruments installations required at Avenue Station.

The wells will be installed at the intersection of Eglinton and Oriole and one approximately 30m west of Oriole Parkway.

TIMING

  •         The work starts as soon as July 23, 2018.
  •         Work will occur over approximately 7 days.
  •         Work will occur between 9:00 a.m and 5:00 p.m.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  •         Timelines are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
  •         Work zone will be removed outside permitted work hours.
  •         Noise can be expected from the use of a pavement saw cutter, a hydrovacuum truck, and         drilling machine.

TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIAN IMPACTS

  • Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Pedestrians should expect pylons on the sidewalk to guide them around the construction zone.
  • Lane reductions will be in place on Eglinton Avenue, between Highbourne Road and Eastbourne Avenue and on Oriole Parkway at Eglinton Avenue to accommodate the construction zone.
  • On-street parking spaces on the south side of Eglinton Avenue West between Highbourne Road and Eastbourne Avenue will be impacted during this work.
