Update: Reopening December 21, 2020 – January 11, 2021

What Work is Taking Place?

Crews will be reopening Rosemount Drive and Eglinton Avenue East from December 21, 2020 until January 11, 2021. On January 11, Rosemount Drive will close again to continue supporting the ongoing works to replace the existing culvert at Massey Creek. Rosemount Drive will remain closed north of Eglinton Avenue East and north-south through-traffic will be prohibited for the duration of the work, until as early as Spring 2021.

 

What to Expect

Crews will continue wet utility works and perform connections between storm sewer pipes and the new culvert. Once complete, the old culvert will be filled followed by the construction of the west wing-wall of the new culvert. Noise from construction equipment and crews can be expected.

 

HOURS OF WORK

  • Work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances

 

TRAFFIC DETAILS

  • Rosemount Drive north of Eglinton Ave E will be reopened from December 21, 2020 – January 11, 2021. Rosemount Drive north of Eglinton Ave E will be closed again on January 11, 2021
  • Westbound right turns onto Rosemount Drive will remain prohibited.
  • Southbound traffic on Rosemount Drive will be diverted north of Eglinton Avenue East.
  • Both westbound and eastbound left turns onto Rosemount Drive will be prohibited.

 

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  • The northwest corner of Rosemount Drive and Eglinton Avenue East will remain closed, pedestrians will be rerouted to the south sidewalk.
