Update: Demolition of 2020 Bathurst Street at Forest Hill Station - January 23, 2020

What Work is Taking Place?

Since December 2020, demolition of the 2020 Bathurst Street building (formerly Scotiabank), located on the southwest corner of Bathurst Street and Eglinton Avenue West, has been underway. On Saturday January 23, 2021, Bathurst Street will be reduced to one through lane only while final demolition work takes place.

What to Expect

Bathurst Street south of Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one through lane only, alternating traffic in each direction. A Paid Duty Officer (PDO) and traffic control personnel will be present. Scaffolding has been installed along the west sidewalk on Bathurst Street adjacent the building. One lane of traffic in each direction will be restored upon completion of the work. Noise from construction activity can be expected.

HOURS OF WORK

• Saturday January 23, 2021
• Lane reduction will be in effect from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

TRAFFIC & PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

• Bathurst Street south of Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one through lane only, alternating traffic in each direction using a Paid Duty Officer and traffic control personnel
• Scaffolding has been installed along the west sidewalk on Bathurst Street between Eglinton Avenue West and the laneway
• Pedestrians will be rerouted around the work zone on the southwest corner

TRANSIT INFORMATION

• No change to TTC required for this work
